The Marple Newtown Community Band is almost 30 years old, since our start in 1996.

About This Site

The Marple Newtown Community Band was formed in June of 1996 under the steady direction of Larry McGriff. Larry was conductor from 1996 to 2000. Matthew Phillips conducted from 2000 to 2005. F. Anthony Wastler conducted from 2005 to 2022. Our current conductor is Kevin Sparks. We also have associate conductors: Bonnie Strang, Deborah Newnham, and Laura Hopf.
